How will they take control?

By removing your key from the ignition.

If they achieve, it’s not over yet, you could still win.

Their main goal, however, is to take you to their station (their base) full of impounded vehicles so when you see those overwhelming numbers of impounded vehicles, fear will grip you to pay any amount they ask.

But thank God you know their plan.

So you have to devise a plan of your own too.

The best plan is to block them from taking your car to their base because, once that happens, it’s all over.

Expect to pay ₦75,000 and even more.

Let’s say they succeeded in entering your car and taking the key off the ignition, your last hope is…

DO NOT STEP OUT OF YOUR CAR!

They won’t kill you, they won’t hit you.

As a matter of fact, they are normal humans like you who left home to feed home.

Of course, they will devise every tactic to get more money out of you but don’t panic unless money is surplus in your bank account.

If you stubbornly stay in your car, control (your key) may be returned to you.

If not, consider your key gone and your car static.

But do not allow any of them to move your car away.

They will come down to a dialogue once they see you are not giving up.

At least, you can beat the fee down.

I have heard stories where some paid only ₦3,000 and they were set free.
